PART 1 : CV WRITING

You have worked hard and accomplished a lot, you are looking for your next career opportunity and you deserve for your profile to be noticed.

But let’s face it, the recruitment process is a one where hundreds of CVs reach the employer and only around 5 people get called for interviews. That means your CV is your one chance to give a positive first impression and only those with a high-impact resume filled with powerful and relevant information will get a chance to pass the many screening stages.

In the current market, it is more than ever crucial to ensure your CV gives you a strong advantage over the competition.

This workshop is designed to help you ensure CV complies with the recruiter’s requirements in the UAE and help you stands out from the crowd by giving a powerful first impression.

Objectives

At the end of PART 1, you will be able to:

Understand the screening process and the real purpose of a CV
Ensure your CV contains the information UAE recruiters are looking for
Select the best layout to highlight your strengths and expertise
Use a simple formula to powerfully describe your achievement
Overcome potential “red flags” such as long career breaks or short employment periods
Be confident your CV is working for you, not against you

PART 2 : GUIDE TO A PROACTIVE JOB SEARCH

80% of the vacant jobs are never advertised. This means that when you apply for advertised jobs, you are not only seeing a limited number of opportunities, you are also competing with thousands of other applicants. This reactive approach gives you a tragic 3% chance to be called for an interview!

Proactive job seekers are aware of job vacancies before they get advertised; they have conversations with key players, they get recommended for their dream job and they get contacted by recruiters whether or not they are currently looking for a job.

This workshop is designed to guide you from a reactive to a proactive job search and provide you with a strategy to successfully manage your career.

Objectives

At the end of PART 2, you will be able to:

Understand how recruiters look for talent
Build a professional identity
Realize the power of a strong professional network
Identify key players and start impactful conversations
List and use efficiently all the available tools & platforms
Draft and implement a daily job search strategy plan
